Who hasn’t struggled to get eyeliner looking catwalk model perfect? Applying your own eyeliner is extremely difficult, but when eyes have been professionally lined or kohled, they can look amazing.
With Permanent eyeliner you can wake up every day with perfectly lined eyeliner with no smudging during the day.
Permanent eyeliner thickens and instantly defines the lash line giving your eyes a more ‘open’ appearance.
It’s an ideal solution for people with busy lives, sporty people and especially those suffering from allergies since it never smears or rubs off – so no re-application required. There is a range of subtle colours available to complement every eye colour and skin tone.
The colour is applied using an applicator specially designed for facial cosmetic tattooing. This instrument gives us the highest degree of control for fine detailed work. Permanent eyeliner is applied with sterile supplies and topical anaesthetics.
Colour is placed along the upper and lower eyelash margin (in between the eyelashes) giving you a ‘fuller and darker lash’ look, creating a soft subtle halo around the eyes. The effect is similar to the build-up of mascara at the base of the lashes. Lash enhancement is a more natural look that many people prefer.
Other people desire a more dramatic make-up look. In this case, colour is placed in between the lashes and above the lashes. If you are not sure which look you prefer we highly recommend a conservative approach. A more natural line can be applied during your initial visit. Later, if you decide to increase the thickness and/or darken your liner we can do that during your follow-up/touch-up visit (within 4-6 weeks).
The procedure takes approximately 2 hours of which the tattooing takes about 1 hour. Topical anaesthetic is applied to desensitize the lids and make the procedure more comfortable. Many of our clients comment that their permanent eyeliner procedures are more comfortable than their brow procedures. Immediately, after the procedure your eyelids will be puffy and slightly red around the tattooed area.
The amount of swelling varies from client to client but usually everyone leaves the clinic comfortable. Your permanent eyeliner will appear thicker and darker initially. As the area heals you’ll notice some of the colour (scabs) flaking off which usually occurs during the first week. This is normal and to be expected.
